The U.K.’s biggest and best city festival has today announced the full line-up which includes the addition of The Membranes, Gengahr, The Mispers and Lonelady along with many others.
On the biggest bill to date, Spring King, Tei Shi, God Damn and Hooton Tennis Club have joined the likes of The Vaccines, The Flaming Lips and Belle and Sebastian on what will be the biggest weekend on the Liverpool music scene’s calendar.
Alongside the announcement of the full line up, Sound City have also announced four brand new stages: The North Stage, The Cavern Stage, The Kraken Stage and The Record Store, with hundreds of upcoming signed and unsigned acts appearing across all four.
Also on the bill is Tim Peaks Diner, on hand to serve up fresh coffee and fresh music with exclusive appearances from Taffy and Hot Vestry, as well as a DJ set from Dave Haslam plus some other very special guests.
More than ever before the festival will see to celebrate the wider arts including film, photography, crafts and performance art including the addition of Liverpool Soul City, The Spark! Drummers and ‘EDIT’ film screenings to the bill.
CEO Dave Pichilingi commented: “This year’s line-up is is the widest it has ever been. We have had band and artist applications into the thousands from over 25 different worldwide countries. It demonstrates how in just eight short years Sound City has become the ‘must play’ event for the best new music from around the globe.
“But Sound City is not just about the live bill. This year is going to be a true spectacle, a carnival of music and art across a wide spectrum, a living, breathing, thrilling theme park of an event set in our stunning new industrial dockland playground. This year will eclipse everything that came before and cement Sound City as one of the most unique festivals in the world.”
