There is no denying that over recent years, social media has taken off massively. Gone are the days when celebrities were people on the TV, now there is a generation of people that are influenced by people who build up followings on social media. You may think that in order to be famous on social media you need to be from Hollywood or a big flashy star from London but actually, there are so many Liverpool influencers doing the city proud. While it may seem as though it’s just people sharing what they enjoy doing, it’s clearly become a big business for both the brands and the influencers themselves.
Let’s take a look at a handful of the ones you can look out for in Liverpool:
Lucy Jane Wood – Lucy is a lifestyle YouTuber and Blogger from Wirral. As well as being a freelance writer she has amassed nearly 57,000 followers on Instagram alone! She talks about all things lifestyle as well as being an advocate for body positivity. She uses #AverageGirlSize on YouTube to showcase her clothing hauls, which have proved popular because they show her trying on size 14 clothes.

Dylan Evans – This Liverpool influencer has done so well that he bagged himself a job on Capital Liverpool, joining their Drive Time Show. He is most popular on Facebook (1.5 million followers), YouTube and Vine, where he puts together sketches including prank phone calls and pop culture parodies.
Danielle Allan – Self-confessed scouser Danielle has worked her way up to nearly 70,000 followers on Instagram. She works as a part-time beautician and posts a variety of lifestyle and fashion posts. She loves to keep it real by posting about her everyday life on both Instagram and YouTube. She’s been featured on TV Show ‘Who Needs a Man When You’ve Got a Fake Tan’ which further proves just how passionate she is about looking good.

Scouse Bird Problems – There is no way we could put together a list of Liverpool influencers without mentioning Steph Bannister – Scouse Bird Problems. Possibly one of the longest-running Liverpool influencer channels, she has been running the Instagram account since 2012. She now has over 100,000 followers and several side-lines that have come from this including a Scouse Bird Shop and an Instagram account dedicated to food and travel, and let’s face it who wouldn’t want to read about good food and decent places to travel to?
Stephi LaReine – Complete with a blue tick, Stephi’s Instagram account has over 50,000 followers. Her grid is filled with bold colours and bright fashion, showing that she isn’t afraid to stand out from the crowd. She describes her style as rainbow fashion and classes herself as a fashion, travel and music blogger.
